Bradford Bears Wheelchair Basketball Club

The Bradford Bears wheelchair basketball team has been participating in the National Wheelchair League for the last seventeen years. The club attracts a whole range of disabled players from the local and surrounding area . The Bears have first, second and junior teams and boast an impressive track record, with several junior members having played for the Yorkshire Junior Disabled Basketball Team.

Green Canaries Wheelchair Basketball Club

We are a wheelchair basketball club called The Green Canaries, based in the community of Norwich, consisting of junior and senior members. There is no restriction for membership, both able-bodied and disabled are eligible, as well as all minority groups. We started in March 2007, with four members and now we have 17 members. We are still recruiting new members and raising necessary funding.

Jaguars wheelchair Basketball Club

The Jaguars were formed in 1995 and are currently based at the Magnus Sports Centre, Earp Avenue in Newark. We train Saturday's 1-4pm and Wednesday's 8-10pm for mid-week training. The players however also come from as far away as Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire thus providing a wide base for future recruitment.

Leicester Cobras Wheelchair Basketball Club

The Cobras have had a very successful 2007/08 season and have gained promotion to the second division for the 2008/09 season. We are now looking to have two teams for next season; the first team in second division and the new second team (for newer and inexperienced players) in the third division.

Wolverhampton Rhinos Wheelchair Basketball Club was set up in November 1999, the club started in a local special school called Penn Hall which catered for children aged 3 yrs to 19 yrs with a physical disability.

The Wheelchair Basketball Experience is a fully equipped mobile coaching and teaching unit, delivered by Gordon Perry, GB Team Member 1982 - 1991 and National Development Officer for Wheelchair Basketball from 1991 to 2006. The Wheelchair Basketball Experience carries on board 12 top-of-the- range RGK Sportschairs, to enable students to experience the sport of wheelchair basketball.

Celtic Warriors Wheelchair Basketball Club

The Celtic Warriors Wheelchair Basketball club used to be called the Chester Wheelchair Jets - and had a name change in the summer of 2007 to reflect their move to Darland Sports Centre in North Wales and also to reflect the number of 'Celtic' players in the club. The team will play in the 2nd division of the GB National league in 2007/2008 having been promoted at the end of the 2006/2007 season. They also play a number of friendly games to give all members the opportunity to play matches.
